Inland Sports Volleyball Key Matches week of 10/16

It's a big week across the area with league titles and playoff positioning on the line in several leagues. What follows are brief previews of key matches across our area.
10/16:
Big 8
Corona Santiago @ Norco 5:30pm- The Sharks can clinch a league title this evening with a road win at Norco along with Roosevelt defeating King. They are coming off winning the Division 1 title at the Hudl tournament this last weekend. Norco looks to play the role of spoiler and end a 63 match Big 8 league winning streak.
Roosevelt @ King 5:30pm- King needs to win this match to keep faint hopes of a Big 8 title alive along with keeping a stranglehold on 2nd place in league. Roosevelt can create a tie for 2nd with the victory tonight.
Non-League:
Beaumont @ Notre Dame/Riverside 6pm- In a match originally rescheduled from Friday the Cougars (currently tied for 1st in Mountain Pass) look for a stiff road test goimg into postseason play. The Titans are looking for positive momentum going into next week's matchup against Loma Linda Academy.
10/17:
Southwestern League:
Temecula Valley @ Murrieta Valley 4:45pm- Temecula Valley looks to set up a showdown for first place with Vista Murrieta on Thursday with this road win. Murrieta Valley pushed the Bears to the brink going five sets and looks to finish the upset bid this time.
Chaparral @ Vista Murrieta 4:45pm--Vista Murrieta looks to stay on a collision course for a huge showdown with Temecula Valley with a win. Chaparral looks for their best win of the year.
Victory League:
Bloomington Christian @ Mesa Grande Academy 5:30pm--2nd place in the Victory League is on the line in this matchup.
Ambassador League:
Woodcrest Christian @ Ontario Christian 6pm--After a 4 set loss to Aquinas last week the Knights fall into a tie for 2nd with Notre Dame and look to get back on track at home. Teri James Royals squad has already avenged a home loss to Notre Dame in this round and looks to keep themselves in the running for 2nd place and a likely first rd home match.
River Valley League:
La Sierra @ Jurupa Valley 6pm--With Patriot firmly in control of the River Valley League La Sierra and Patriot square off with 2nd place and a likely first roumd home match on the line.
Wednesday 10/18:
First place in the Sunbelt and Citrus Belt Leagues are on the line.
Sunbelt League:
Paloma Valley @ Elsinore 4:30pm
Elsinore won a 5 set thriller at Paloma Valley in the first meeting. The Wildcats look to keep a high seed in divison 6 and create a tie at the top of Sunbelt League competition.
Citrus Belt League:
Citrus Valley @ Yucaipa 4:30pm
Yucaipa swept the Blackhawks in 3 first time around. Citrus Valley looks to create a tie for the league championship with a pivotal road win.
Thursday 10/19:
Southwestern League:
Vista Murrieta @ Temecula Valley 4:45pm--Winner takes a one match lead with one to go in the race for the title assuming both take care of business Tuesday.
